Option 1: Standard Policy

Applies to short stays of less than 28 nights.

  • Full Refund:
    • Guests are eligible for a full refund if they cancel within 24 hours of booking, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.
    • Example for Guests: Book on January 1st for a January 20th check-in and cancel by January 2nd to receive a full refund.
  • Partial Refund (7+ Days):
    • If guests cancel 7 or more days before check-in but not within 24 hours of booking, they will receive a 50% refund of the total booking cost.
    • Example for Guests: Book on January 1st for a January 20th check-in and cancel on January 10th to receive a 50% refund.
  • No Refund (Less than 7 Days):
    • If guests cancel less than 7 days before check-in, they will not receive any refund.
    • Example for Guests: Book on January 1st for a January 20th check-in and cancel on January 15th, and no refund will be issued.

Option 2: Long-Term Policy

Applies to long stays of 28 nights or more.

  • Full Refund:

    • For stays of 28 days or longer, guests are eligible for a full refund if they cancel within 72 hours of booking, provided the cancellation occurs at least 28 days before check-in.
    • Example for Guests: Book on January 1st for a February 1st check-in and cancel by January 4th to receive a full refund.
  • Partial Refund:

    • If a guest cancels after the 72-hour window but at least 20 days before check-in, they will receive a 50% refund of the total booking cost.
    • Example for Guests: Book on January 1st for a February 1st check-in and cancel on January 11th to receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellation During Stay:

    • If a guest cancels during their stay (after check-in), the host will be paid for any nights already stayed plus an additional 30 nights from the cancellation date, or for the remainder of the reservation if fewer than 30 days remain.
    • Example for Guests: Book from January 1st to March 1st, cancel on February 10th, and the host will be paid for the remaining 19 days.

Option 3: Non-Refundable Option

  • Non-Refundable:
    • Under this option, guests will not receive any refund regardless of the cancellation timing.
    • Potential Benefit for Hosts: This option can potentially increase earnings by attracting guests willing to commit to their bookings without the option of a refund.
  • Example for Guests: Book at any time and cancel at any time before the check-in date; no refund will be issued.
